Viatge en Irlanda 2024<\/span> de la classa de 3ena<\/sup><\/h1><\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

During a week, the 3enas class went on a trip to Ireland. But before talking about the travel, let\u2019s talk about Ireland\u2019s history.<\/span><\/p>

Ireland had been a colony of the British Empire for many centuries. To stop any idea of revolt, the British would starve the Irish population. Then, after many famines, they used them as soldiers during WWI. Ireland made a rebellion, and after many massacres, they obtained their independence. <\/span>Then in 2024, we, the 3enas<\/sup>, arrived at Dublin airport for a seven days trip to meet the Irish culture.<\/span><\/p>

In Dublin, we went to the GPO (General Post Office), where we learnt more about Ireland\u2019s history, like the battle of the GPO. We also went to the National Museums of Ireland, and made a treasure hunt in downtown Dublin. The best team was \u201cScaramouche and the Potatoes Leprechauns\u201d. (It\u2019s actually false but the writer of this article was in this team, so we\u2019ll say that it is true to make her happy.) Then, Trinity College<\/i> and the Book of Kells<\/i> had the honour of us visiting them.<\/span><\/p>

Direction Cork, where our first activity was a seaside walk to go to a hurling game. The next day, we went to Blarney castle, a place that has its own legend: the legend of Blarney Castle\u2019s stone. The King of this part of Ireland, the Munster, was a stutterer (\u201cb\u00e8gue\u201d). In this time, the British Queen was fearing a coup d\u2019etat from the local King, so she put him on trial. But he knew he was a stutterer, and he would be stressed on the day of the trial. So, he wouldn\u2019t be able to say a single word. Knowing that all was lost, he went for a walk in his gardens, where he met a fairy. The fairy told him to continue his path and kiss the first shiny stone he would meet. Then, he took it and kissed it again before the trial. He did it and he had been able to win the trial. Now the tradition remains of kissing the stone, that was set at the top of a tower in the castle.<\/span><\/p>

Finally, we went to a pub where we ate fish and chips and drank ginger ale.<\/span><\/p>
